What is in platforms.json
Each record carries the slug, name, kind (specialist platform, broker or government channel), website, a one-line description, our verdict, the verified date, status (active, not enabled, inactive, offline or not registered) and the product types sold. The core is a list of facts, each with a key, a label, a value, a source URL and, where the fact rests only on a secondary source, a confidence of reported. Standard fact keys cover the legal entity, group, SEBI registration, NSE and BSE status, custody, minimum investment, fees and markup, yield basis, exit, settlement, credit range, NRI access, Play Store and App Store ratings, and regulatory actions. Records also hold short lists of who the platform suits and what to watch, FAQs and sources.
What is in registry.json and registry.csv
The file records the as-on date and source of both exchange lists, plain text data quality flags, and a dated list of changes. Each entity has its SEBI registration number, legal name, brand, website, NSE status (Enabled, Not enabled, or absent) and enablement date, BSE status (Active, Inactive, or absent) and date, a link to our profile where one exists, and a note. The CSV carries the same entity fields with the NSE and BSE values in their own columns.
What is in faq.json
Each entry holds the FAQ's slug, rank, category, question, short answer, full answer, related pages, verified date and sources.
Provenance
Registry data comes from NSE's file List_of_Registered_OBPPs_NSE.xlsx and BSE's OBP_MEMBER_LIST.zip. NSE prints an as-on date in its file; BSE does not, so we use the timestamp of the spreadsheet inside the zip. We keep known errors visible as flags rather than silently fixing them: BSE's file, for example, prints Dexif Security Broking's SEBI number against Prachay Securities as well. Platform facts come from the sources listed with each fact, read on the verified date shown.
How often it changes
The registry is refreshed monthly, app ratings weekly and platform terms quarterly. A fact's verified date changes only when it has been re-checked. The planned same-bond price panel is not part of the data yet; it is pending legal review, as explained in the methodology.
