Where you can sell a bond before maturity
Grip Invest, InCred Money's Bidd, Stable Bonds and Wint Wealth publish their own sell routes with stated terms, and none promises a sale at a fixed price. Brokers and RBI Retail Direct let you sell on the exchange or on NDS-OM at whatever a buyer pays.

Options that meet these criteria
Listed alphabetically. This is not a ranking.
Fyers Broker app
G-secs, T-bills and SDLs can be sold on the exchange before maturity for ₹20 or 0.3% delivery brokerage, whichever is lower, plus DP charges.
Grip Invest Bond platform
Sell Bonds Anytime opens after about 2 months, charges 0.25% inside the buyer's price and settles in 1 working day. Grip says it cannot guarantee an immediate sale.
InCred Money (Bidd) Bond platform
Bidd's Anytime Liquidity opens 21 days after the order and costs 2% of the latest market price per unit. No bonds were on sale on 17th Oct 2026.
RBI Retail Direct Government channel
G-secs, SDLs and T-bills can be sold on NDS-OM's odd lot and RFQ segments, with proceeds paid to your linked bank account.
Stable Bonds Bond platform
Advertises selling anytime with zero exit fee; its terms add a penalty-free window after which a spread or penalty may apply, possible lock-ins, a DDPI and no guarantee of a buyer.
Wint Wealth Bond platform
Will sell your bond at a YTM up to 1% lower than the yield you bought at, at its discretion, and only for bonds held in the Wint demat.
Zerodha Broker app
Listed bonds and government securities in your Zerodha demat can be sold on the exchange order book at the same cost as any demat security, including a ₹15.34 DP charge.
Two kinds of exit
A platform sell route means the platform or its network finds the buyer and sets the price, usually with a charge or a yield haircut. An exchange or NDS-OM sale means you place an order and wait for a buyer at a price you accept. Secondary trading in corporate bonds is thin: reporting the SEBI chairman's remarks in May 2026, Outlook Money put the corporate bond turnover ratio at about 0.3.

Watch the record date
The holder on the record date receives the coupon, so a sale just before it hands that interest to the buyer; TradingQnA has threads from investors who sold a day early and missed a payment. Stable's terms say its sell option can be switched off near a record date.
The price you get on the exchange
On NSE's cash segment, G-secs and SDLs trade at a price that already includes accrued interest. The same bond can quote differently on NSE and BSE; Paytm Money compares both and defaults to limit orders for that reason.
Questions people ask
Can I sell a bond before maturity in India?
Yes, if a buyer exists. You can sell listed bonds on the exchange through a broker, government securities on NDS-OM through RBI Retail Direct, or use a platform's own sell route where one exists, at its stated cost.
Does any platform guarantee that I can sell?
No platform reviewed guarantees a sale at a fixed price. Grip and Stable say in their terms that a sale is not guaranteed, and Wint sets its sell-back price at its discretion.
Which platforms offer no exit route at all?
Jiraaf says it does not facilitate liquidation after purchase. Aspero, Altifi and BondScanner offer no buyback, so you sell in the market yourself.
