Bond platform
Wint Wealth review
Wint Wealth suits investors who want a buy and sell-back flow inside one app, since it repurchases bonds bought on Wint at a price it sets. The catches: you must hold the bonds in a demat opened with Wint, its margin is not itemised, and SEBI fined it ₹1 lakh in Nov 2025 for settling most trades off the exchange RFQ platform.

Is Wint Wealth safe?
Wint Wealth is run by a SEBI registered stock broker, Wint Securities Pvt Ltd (INZ000313632), and has been enabled as an online bond platform on NSE since 16th Aug 2023, so the intermediary itself is regulated and can be checked on the registry. That registration covers the platform, not the companies whose bonds it sells, and it does not protect you if one of them stops paying (what happens if an issuer defaults).
Wint says it has 0.00% defaults till date (self-reported, read on 17th Oct 2026). Its App Store listing is titled WintWealth: 9-12% Fixed Return, and some App Store reviews allege missed or unreceived interest; Wint's replies say repayments come from the issuers. A TradingQnA user posted a screenshot of a BBB+ bond on Wint in Apr 2026, so the shelf is not limited to high grades. From about 21st Nov 2026 every OBPP must show SEBI's Credit Risk-o-Meter, which uses the lowest available rating.
Two stressed issuers are worth dating. For Satya MicroCapital, whose FY26 audit carries a going-concern qualification, Wint's site states that the bond is not curated by Wint. For TruCap Finance, which CARE downgraded to D on 18th Jul 2025, a review site and a summary of a Mint report say Wint did not list the bonds; we could not verify this.
What do you actually pay on Wint Wealth?
Wint publishes no per bond fee; Inc42 reported in May 2026 that it earns roughly 1% commission on each bond it sells and co-invests in every bond. Wint's pricing page renders in the browser and its fee text could not be read, and the T&C we read do not say whether the yield on screen is net of that margin.
So the YTM you see is the only cost signal you get. Checking the same ISIN on another platform or on the exchange is how you find the gap (same bond, different yield). Operating revenue rose to ₹44.5 cr in FY25 with a loss of ₹8.2 cr, from ₹17.2 cr and a loss of ₹18 cr in FY24 (RoC filings as reported by Inc42).
Can you sell Wint bonds before maturity?
Yes, but only back through Wint, only for bonds bought on Wint and held in the Wint demat, and at a price Wint sets. The T&C say a sell order may be filled at a YTM "up to 1% lower" than the YTM at which you originally bought, and that the sale amount varies from person to person at Wint Wealth's sole discretion.
Bonds moved out of the Wint demat lose this route. For how exits differ across platforms, see can I sell a bond before maturity and platforms for selling before maturity.
Where do your bonds sit?
In a demat account opened with Wint's own depository participant, DP ID IN304633 (DP registration INDP7592023). Trades go through the exchange RFQ platform, where Wint registers you with the clearing corporation as an unregistered participant.
Users on TradingQnA report that from Oct 2024 Wint replaced the earlier Zerodha demat linking with its own demat, and that holding a second demat can end eligibility for a Basic Services Demat Account (BSDA). See do I need a new demat for every platform, are the bonds in my own demat and platforms that use your existing demat.
What kind of bonds does it sell?
Corporate bonds and fixed deposits. The App Store listing describes handpicked corporate bonds and FDs, and the T&C offer FDs through deposit partners they do not name. The site has a Sovereign Gold Bond page, but we could not verify that SGBs can be bought, and we could not verify G-secs, T-bills, SDLs, 54EC bonds, MLDs or NCD IPOs on Wint.
Wint does not publish a credit range for its shelf. The advertised minimum is ₹1,000 (minimum investment in bonds). The group also runs an NBFC, Wint Capital, whose AUM was reported at about ₹200 cr in Jan 2026.
Has SEBI penalised Wint Wealth?
Yes: on 21st Nov 2025 a SEBI adjudicating officer fined the company ₹1,00,000 under section 15HB (Order/JS/DP/2025-26/31791-31795) for settling most bond trades off the exchange RFQ platform. Over the inspection period of 25th Jul 2023 to 30th Jun 2024, 67.61% of trade value (₹462.54 cr of ₹684.15 cr) and 74.66% of trades (61,811 of 82,795) went off-market or OTC, and in Q3 FY24 all ₹201.52 cr did. Proceedings against four directors were disposed of without penalty, and the order gave weight to technical and operational difficulties with RFQ.
In its defence Wint said it had told NSE on 20th Feb 2023 that the RFQ platform displayed current yield rather than YTM, which could mislead retail investors. The same routing lapse drew penalties on Aspero (₹1 lakh, Apr 2025) and GoldenPi (₹4.5 lakh including directors, 2025).
Who runs Wint Wealth, and is it part of Zerodha?
Wint was founded in 2020 and its co-founders are Ajinkya Kulkarni (CEO), Abhik Patel, Shashank Chimaladari, Anshul Gupta, Vinay Dubey and Sruthi Sivakumar. It is a separate company from Zerodha: Zerodha's Rainmatter took part in Wint's ₹250 cr Series B on 14th Jan 2026, and Nithin Kamath and Vasanth Kamath are named angel backers (is GoldenPi or Wint part of Zerodha).
Scale figures conflict: 8 lakh+ users on the about page, about 3 lakh investors per the CEO in May 2026, and 85,000+ investors in the App Store description (all self-reported, read on 17th Oct 2026). The CEO also put sales at about ₹600 cr of bonds a month in May 2026.
